Mental Health Tech Supervisor

Responsibilities

Mental Health Tech Supervisor (MHT Supervisor) functions as an integral part in the training and development of mental health technicians. The MHT Supervisor assists the Director of Nursing (DON) with the planning and oversight of the MHT patient care role and the overall goal of facilitating the provision of continuous and safe patient care, observation, interaction and role modeling to patients.

Additional responsibilities include ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, maintaining accurate patient records, and supporting staff in crisis management and patient safety.

Education:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Associate’s degree in psychology, sociology or a similar field with related experience (preferred)
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university/college in psychology, sociology or a similar field
• CDCA from the State of Ohio with related experience (preferred)

Experience:

• One to three years of related experience (not an entry level position)
• Previous experience in a mental health or substance abuse treatment facility preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate

Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, diplomacy and discretion, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize multiple projects. Professional demeanor and appearance required.
