Do you enjoy helping people and keeping things running smoothly? We are looking for a friendly, detail-oriented Scheduling Coordinator to be the first point of contact for our patients. You’ll play a key role in ensuring exceptional patient experiences while supporting the success of our optometric practice.

This is a call center/medical office environment, so every day you’ll balance professionalism, compassion, and organization. If you love talking to people, keeping systems in order, and making sure patients feel cared for, this is the role for you!

  • Fort Wayne, IN
  • Maumee, OH
  • Wabash, IN

What You’ll Do:

Greet patients in a friendly, professional manner and manage phone communications

Follow up on missed or cancelled appointments and triage patient needs to schedule appropriately

Educate patients on their appointments and insurance eligibility

Collect and enter accurate patient demographic data into our electronic health record

Support exam staff by recognizing the exam process and recording details accurately

Optimize schedules and help the practice run efficiently

Maintain a high standard of service and quality care with every patient interaction

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Excellent communication skills in person, by phone, and in writing

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Dependable, self-motivated, proactive, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous medical office experience preferred
  • Proficient with EHR and optometric medical terminology

Sedentary work, primarily sitting

Requires talking, hearing, and visual acuity to ensure accuracy and thoroughness

Qualifications Education Required

High School or better.
