Accendra Health is seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist to provide high‑quality respiratory care in a hybrid office and field role. This position supports a busy branch team and offers a balanced mix of patient interaction and equipment management.
Key Highlights- Work Arrangement: 50% office, 50% road
- Hours:
8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (flexible) - Driving Distance:
Up to 50 miles - Salary: $38–$42 per hour (based on experience, skills, education, and location)
- On‑Call:
Transparency, rotation every 3 weeks, mainly phone assistance with occasional home visits
- Conduct home visits to set up and follow up on oxygen, CPAP/BiPAP, and ventilation equipment
- Educate patients and caregivers on equipment use, cleaning, troubleshooting, and maintenance
- Assess patient needs, document care delivered, and appropriately escalated concerns
- Respond to hospital discharge requests and support patient needs
- Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and internal branch teams
- Maintain accurate documentation using iPad or laptop
- Set up and operate various types of respiratory care equipment, including oxygen therapy, nebulization, apnea monitoring, suctioning, PAP, invasive and non‑invasive ventilation
- Inspect and test equipment to ensure proper operating condition
- Perform clinical assessments and tests such as pulse oximetry, ETCO₂, spirometry, and gathering vital signs
- Perform other duties as required
- Registered Respiratory Therapist with an active OH RT license;
Michigan RT license or willingness to obtain preferred - Ability to stand, lift, push and/or pull objects ranging from 10–50 lbs
- Valid driver’s license
- Comfortable using mobile technology, navigation tools, and digital documentation
- Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
- Certificates, licenses, registrations or professional designations, including a current RCP license in the state of practice (or states that the location covers); currently holding CPR certification
- All applicable licensure in good standing for all states in practice
