Toledo Clinic's Pulmonary Critical Care & Sleep Department is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to perform both clinical and administrative duties. The office is located in Maumee OH and the hours are Monday - Thursday (8:0-4:30) and Friday (8:0-4:0). Qualified candidates will have an MA credential (RMA/CMA/CCMA) or ability to obtain such credential within 60 days of hire.

Toledo Clinic is offering a $2,000 Sign-On Bonus to qualified Medical Assistants. If qualified, sign on bonuses are payable within 30 days of hire to employees that have active and verified credentials (ex: RMA/CMA/CCMA/CPCT-A). For employees that have not yet obtained or renewed their credential, the Sign-On Bonus is payable once the credential is obtained and verified. After one year of service, qualified Medical Assistants may be eligible for an additional $2,000 Retention Bonus.

Assist physician(s) with patient treatment, prepares patient for physician(s), and performs various clerical duties.

Works under the supervision of the Office Manager.

• 1.Assist Drs. with patient care (i.e.: assisting with minor procedures/surgeries such as removing sutures, staples, moles, etc.).
• 2.Various clerical duties (i.e.: answering phones, scheduling appointments, handling patient charts, etc.).
• 3.Escorting patients to exam room.
• 4.Preparing exam rooms.
• 6.Sterilizing and preparing instruments.
• 7.At the request of the physician, calling in prescription refills.
• 8.Order and maintain exam room supplies and instruments.
• 9.Follow up with lab work and/or xrays.
• 11.Other duties as assigned.

• Excellent interpersonal skills required.
• Consistently arrives at work, in professional attire, on time and completes all tasks within established time frame.
• Seeks appropriate tasks when primary tasks are completed and assists co-workers as needed.
• Demonstrates adaptability to expanded roles.
• Credentialed as a Medical Assistant (i.e.: CMA or RMA)
• Adheres to all Toledo Clinic policies and procedures.

• Medical Assisting degree or diploma from an accredited school required.

• Clinical medical assisting experience preferred.
