This position will work to develop both the domestic and international supply base to meet corporate needs. Responsible for finding and vetting all new suppliers for the assigned commodities within the company, this position will work cross-functionally with QA, Engineering, and Production to ensure both products and suppliers meet TMG standards. This position will own the relationship for all assigned TMG suppliers and ensure this supply base meets our standards for quality, lead-time, service, and cost.
Base salary $65k-95k with an additional performance bonus based on savings (approx. $30k with no cap)
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES- Locate and investigate new international sources of supply based on product specifications.
- Manage international sourcing strategies and oversee global supplier relationships.
- Leads negotiations involving pricing, contracts, supply agreements, and payment terms with vendors as needed.
- Responsible for processing purchase orders according to established guidelines and in a cost-efficient manner.
- Analyze landed costs from various overseas vendors to ensure items are procured at the lowest cost possible while maintaining our standards for quality, service, and on time delivery.
- Analyze optimum order amounts to fill containers and maintain ideal inventory levels.
- Ensure compliance with import/export regulations and trade compliance.
- Analyze procurement metrics and prepare reports for management as assigned.
- Independently investigates new suppliers for improved price, delivery, and quality.
- Responsible for managing inventory levels of assigned materials.
- Analyze data for vendor performance and determine if action is needed.
- Interfaces with all departments and suppliers.
- Performs computer input.
- Assisting in warehouse cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy as needed.
- Assist as needed in company-wide physical inventory counts including the counting of parts and data entry.
- Assist in writing and reviewing product specifications as needed.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to (15) fifteen pounds at a time.
- Proven organizational skills – ability to prioritize.
- Demonstrated experience in finding and developing international suppliers.
- Demonstrated experience in managing suppliers and supplier relationships.
- Demonstrated experience in negotiating cost reductions and Terms & Conditions.
- Proficient at analyzing data and making confident decisions.
- Ability to lead projects.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to solve practical problems.
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Able to work in a high-pressure, challenging environment.
- Maintains effective communication levels and fosters team building.
- 4-7 years of International Procurement experience
- Bachelor’s Degree
