Role Summary

Cinemark Janitors clean the theatre and property during non‑operating hours. The standard at Cinemark is “clean as new,” and Janitors strive to meet this standard by caring for floors, carpets, walls, doors, seats, restrooms, sidewalks, parking lots, concession stands, and more. They thoroughly disinfect auditoriums and restrooms before opening, ensuring guests walk into a sparkling clean theatre the next day.

• Coordinate with the General Manager on areas to be cleaned
• Schedule time to perform a thorough cleaning of the theatre and theatre property
• Sweep and mop floor areas, including auditoriums, lobby, restrooms, booth area, etc.
• Maintain carpets (vacuum, remove gum, shampoo as necessary)
• Clean theatre and theatre property including auditoriums, seats, game rooms, drinking fountains, restrooms (basins, toilet bowls, countertops, mirrors, walls, partitions, floors), etc.
• Ensure projection booths, office areas, storerooms, and screens are cleaned only on specific instruction from the General Manager
• Keep cleaning equipment clean and in working order
• Cleans and organizes the Janitor’s closet
• Inspect theatre and property to ensure all is clean for opening; report any issues to the General Manager
• Replenish restroom supplies (toilet paper, paper towels, soap, etc.)
• Mix and apply Cinemark‑approved cleaning chemicals as directed
• Remove trash and replace bags; dispose of trash in dumpster or compactor
• Guard against unauthorized personnel entering during the shift
• Keep theatre keys and lock outside doors while on shift
• Use Personal Protective Equipment appropriately
• Adapt to the frequency and scope of required cleaning tasks
• Monitor safety and security issues (trip hazards, lighting, suspicious persons); report to management
• Perform other work‑related duties as assigned

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Availability to work flexible hours including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Regular and consistent attendance required
• Energetic, friendly attitude during each shift
• Excellent guest‑service skills
• Effective communication with all ages, genders, and personalities; must speak and understand English
• Ability to work in a team environment and independently
• Ability to take and follow directions
• Sense of urgency
• Ability to maneuver in limited‑space areas (restroom stalls, auditorium seat rows, etc.)
• Ability to safely mix chemicals
• Ability to safely dispose of used chemicals in compliance with state and local regulations

• Frequent bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Frequent standing, walking, and reaching around the theatre
• Noise level may be moderate to high at times
• Work in a standing position for extended periods
