Overview
Robot Technician position based in Toledo, Ohio. This full-time role supports setup, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of robotic stamping machines to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production. The position offers competitive wages, growth opportunities, and a clean, safe work environment. Hours for this position are typically: 1st Shift, Monday – Friday, 6:00am – 2:00pm.
Toledo Tool & Die is adding Robot Technicians to support continued growth.
Responsibilities- Setup shakers & shaker trays
- Clean, lubricate, maintain, and adjust equipment using air hoses, cleaning fluids, and hand tools
- Conduct visual inspection of parts and measure/test completed metal work pieces to ensure specifications
- Read production schedules to determine the next job in rotation
- Correct problems by adjusting controls or stopping machines and opening holding devices
- Start, monitor, and adjust robotic production lines
- Modify computer-controlled robot movements
- Provide directions to other workers regarding machine setup and use
- Conduct trial runs and adjust equipment; use logic to evaluate solutions and approaches
- Compute and record settings for new work, applying knowledge of metal properties and shop mathematics
- Perform preventive or corrective maintenance on robotic systems or components
- Evaluate efficiency and reliability of industrial robotic systems and reprogram or calibrate to maximize quantity and quality
- Develop robotic path motions to maximize efficiency, safety, and quality
- Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE
- Take direction and coaching to improve performance
- Ensure environmental practices align with job scope, including waste disposal, spill reporting, permit compliance, and addressing improper practices
- Assume additional duties as assigned
- Education & Experience: Required – High School Diploma or GED. Prefer at least 1 year of progressive robotic experience (programming, adjustments, etc.). Skilled in welding, electrical, pneumatic, robotics with knowledge of the others. Prefer 2 years of experience operating hand and power tools.

Experience:
Aptitude in spatial reasoning, attention to detail, and skilled craftsmanship; mechanical aptitude; ability to follow safety procedures; proactive and takes ownership to resolve problems; able to work with a diverse workforce; local candidates may be given preference. - Software/Computer
Skills & Experience:
General computer literacy; experience with FANUC robots preferred; general knowledge of PLCs.
- Works primarily in a manufacturing facility with daily interaction with other departments
- Exposure to varying weather conditions, chemicals, dust, and fumes; may work in unair-conditioned areas
- Requires standing for long periods (8+ hours); exposure to electrical and mechanical hazards
- Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs; occasional outdoor work
- Frequent use of vision, hearing, and speech; dynamic movement including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and reaching
