Maumee City Schools Sub Assist. Nurse – Fairfield Elementary (Aug. 10, 2026 – Approx. Nov. 2, 2026)

Maumee City Schools – Notice of Substitute Vacancy. Position:
Substitute Assistant Nurse – Fairfield Elementary. Job Status:
Full‑time, August 10, 2026 – approx. late October to early November.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Valid State of Ohio LPN or RN license.
• Valid driver's license.
• Experience working with children and adolescents.
• Technology experience and willingness to learn new technologies.
• Basic clerical skills, including alphabetizing, filing, record‑keeping, and typing.
• Ability to work cooperatively with students, adults, and the public.
• Ability to function independently.
• Ability to perform essential job duties, with or without accommodations.
• Professional tact, diplomacy, and presentation with administrators, staff, teachers, students, parents, and the community.
• Tolerant and pleasant personality under demanding work situations.

Summary of Responsibilities:

• Assist with health screenings as required by the State of Ohio.
• Respond to accidents and health emergencies and administer first aid when needed.
• Dispense medication to students as needed.
• Coordinate with building administration to implement policies on exclusion and re‑admission of students concerning infectious and contagious diseases.
• Oversee building cumulative health records and consult on other health‑related records as needed.
• Prepare and submit reports for the superintendent and other agencies.
• Assist with IAT and IEP meetings and participate in multi‑factored evaluation teams for students with health or medical issues.

Compensation: $19.50 per hour
