What you will do
- Support Fire & Life Safety Inspectors with routine inspections, testing, service, and preventive maintenance of fire alarm, sprinkler, and suppression systems.
- Assist with testing and inspection of fire alarm and life safety systems for new and existing customers.
- Learn and follow established inspection and testing procedures under direct supervision.
- Accurately document work performed using company-provided tools and systems.
- Adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and training requirements.
- Follow verbal and written instructions from lead technicians and supervisors.
- Safely carry and move tools and equipment weighing up to 70 lbs.
- Perform work in a variety of physical positions, including climbing ladders, scaffolding, and using lift equipment.
- Support work on alternative shifts or weekends as needed to meet customer requirements.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.
Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a technical school program related to electrical, fire protection, or life safety systems.
- Ability and willingness to perform physical labor in field environments.
- Strong attention to detail and eagerness to learn new skills.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and smartphone applications.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work well as part of a team.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Commitment to working safely and professionally.
- Prior hands‑on exposure to electrical, fire alarm, or life safety systems through coursework, labs, or internships.
- Familiarity with basic hand tools and testing equipment.
- Interest in pursuing NICET certification or a long‑term career in Fire & Life Safety.

Hiring hourly range: $20.00/hour (Hourly rate determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location and alignment with market data.)
