Vocational Rehabilitation Supervisor

Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities (OOD) is seeking a Vocational Rehabilitation Supervisor to join our team and support our mission of helping Ohioans with disabilities achieve employment and greater independence. This role offers an exciting opportunity to guide and develop a team of Vocational Rehabilitation Counselors who provide important services that help individuals reach their career goals. As a supervisor, you will oversee day-to-day service delivery, ensure consistent and timely support for participants, and help staff grow through coaching, training, and regular performance evaluation.

You will review cases and caseloads for compliance and quality, monitor expenditures, and support professional development across the team. You will support the referral and intake process, handle participant concerns, and prepare reports that reflect program progress and outcomes. When needed, you may temporarily take on caseload duties or assist with administrative projects within the area or statewide. This position also plays an impactful role in building community relationships.

You will represent OOD with partner organizations, school systems, businesses, and other agencies to strengthen resources for participants and facilitate collaboration. This includes participating in committees, attending meetings, supporting inter-agency agreements, and helping identify strategies that improve services. You may also help develop contracts or grants and take part in outreach and public-facing activities that explain OOD's programs and goals.

Another important part of this role involves resolving concerns related to casework or business operations, responding to inquiries from the public or government officials, and keeping accurate records when issues arise. To be successful in this role, you will need knowledge of budgeting, employee development, supervision, counseling, public and human relations, administrative management, and OOD's policies and procedures. Strong reasoning skills are essential for identifying problems, gathering information, and drawing conclusions.

You should be proficient using Microsoft Office and related agency software, as well as general office equipment. The role requires the ability to organize and classify information, work well with diverse individuals, and handle sensitive situations with professionalism. Understanding government processes and maintaining clear, respectful communication will help you guide your team and support the community effectively. If you are motivated to help others succeed and want to contribute to OOD's mission, we encourage you to apply.
