Responsibilities

Patient Transportation Driver

Per Diem

The Patient Transport Driver provides safe and timely transportation of patients to

and from Arrowhead Behavioral Health.

Arrowhead Behavioral Health is a 48-bed private, free-standing psychiatric hospital located in Maumee, OH. Arrowhead offers a private, confidential and non-institutional environment conducive to healing and recovery. Arrowhead provides a variety of specialized services for adults.

This position will pick up hours when needed to cover time off or additional patient driving load.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Responsible for providing transportation services as needed and/or directed.
  • Responsible for all vehicle transportation and maintenance logs.
  • Responsible for daily inspection of all vehicles making sure vehicle are fueled and clean.
  • Performs the Preventative Maintenance on all vehicles in conjunction with the Lead Maintenance personnel.
  • Answers all calls and directs accordingly
  • Coordinates / schedules the repair appointments also in conjunction with the Lead Maintenance Personnel.
  • Assess the vehicles and determines if there are any items that need repair.
  • Responsible for the fueling, and turning in of the subsequent credit card receipts.
  • Responsible for reviewing the pre-check sheets, and signing off on these sheets.
  • Performs all other duties as required or assigned.
  • Performs routine cleaning of patient rooms, offices, public areas and trash removal.
Qualifications

Education/

Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

License/Certification:
Valid Ohio driver's license and valid vehicle insurance

Must be at least 21 years of age and cannot have any of the following within the last 36 months: been convicted of an alcohol/drug-related offense while driving, had driver's license suspended/ revoked, convicted of two or more speeding violations or one or more other serious violations and/or been involved in one chargeable accident.

One year previous experience as a driver preferred.

Skills:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Diplomacy and discretion are essential, as well as excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple projects. Professional demeanor and appearance.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
