We have an exciting opportunity for a Gas Measurement Analyst. This hybrid role will be based in one of our offices in Little Rock, Fayetteville, Fort Smith or Maumelle, AR;
Lawton, OK; or Portland, ME.

The Gas Measurement Analyst position will be a part of the Measurement department and report directly to the Measurement Technical Support Supervisor. The Gas Measurement Analyst will coordinate with other inter-departmental staff to complete measurement data analysis and administrative support. This position will be responsible for monitoring, estimating, analyzing and reporting on Summit gas distribution system. Reporting includes gas measurement, billing and Lost & Unaccounted For Gas (LUFG).

• Collect and monitor electronic flow measurement data from transportation customers and town border stations.
• Monitor and resolve hourly, daily and monthly data exception reports on electronic data collection units.
• Provide assistance and direction to field technicians in troubleshooting data collection equipment (telephone, modem, instrumentation, etc.).
• Provide resources for calculating and interpreting gas constituents and heating value.
• Provide standard configuration and setup of electronic instruments.
• Provide ready resource to field technicians on instrument setup and configurations.
• Evaluate gas capacity and gas usage.
• Provide support for LUFG reporting and data gathering.
• Generate and maintain curtailment reporting lists and priority documentation.
• Support the Gas Supply Department requests to ensure that adequate supplies are purchased to serve all of gas distributions needs on all pipelines.
• Support the reception of city gate volume data via hard copy volume statements for input into internal systems such as Flow Cal and LUFG; review same information for abnormal flow characteristics providing analysis from a measurement perspective.
• Provide volume statements and gas measurement data to Gas Supply Department, CCS, billing, third parties, and end-users.
• Resolve questions from third parties and end-users and provide volume calculation backup for data and estimates.
• Set up electronic flow meters for transportation customers in coordination with Marketing, Gas Supply, and CCS Billing representatives.
• Represent Summit in volumetric settlements and disputes.
• Provide daily and monthly reports on gas measurement operations.
• Gather field documentation on measurement activities and track testing status as required.
• Provide guidance and maintains consistency in billing devices.
• Audit third party gas volumes for appropriateness and compare receipts to system deliveries for supporting LUFG.
• Collect and review gas analysis for proper gas quality, heating value (BTU), and contract performance requirements. Ensure data is properly imported into Flow Cal.
• Maintain and modify supporting data programs used in collection of field data, data retrieval, compilation, and reporting.
• Provide data record management for gas volume administration and audit requests.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a regulated natural gas utility or 5 years of experience in a coordinator position involving utility support or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Business, Engineering or Technology degree preferred

• Excellent analytical and organizational planning skills required with demonstrated quality and thoroughness on each assignment and exhibits high level of attention to detail in all facets of the work.
• Polished interpersonal/communication skills including good verbal skills exhibited in meetings, one-on-one exchanges and presentations. Appropriate written communication skills required for writing in a technical format.
• Capable of working well with others as the position requires a great deal of collaboration both within the measurement department and with the other teams.
• Ability to provide feedback in a positive and constructive manner.
• Exhibits a high-level of personal initiative and motivation.
• Working knowledge of Natural Gas measurement
• Experience with SAP, Cayenta, Flow Cal and/or Quorum software platforms preferred
