Graphic Designer will maintain and work with MAC and PC platforms. Will work daily with Adobe, ESKO, EFI and Microsoft software. Will be responsible for providing all design related needs to the Customer, Production, Sales Group, Customer Service and Vendors and assist in daily maintenance of the Design Department.
Responsibilities- Prepares artwork for printing on Flexo and Digital press.
- Provides Customer Service with needed items to complete production specifications.
- Works with Production to ensure success of production runs.
- Provides Sales with needed design items, such as mock-up samples and renderings.
- Illustrates concept by designing rough layout of art and copy regarding arrangement, size, type size and style and related aesthetic concepts within CAD and Graphics software.
- Obtains approval of concept by submitting rough layout for approval to Customer Service, Customers and Sales Group.
- Completes Design projects by coordinating through Web-Center and with outside tooling vendor’s agencies, art services, printers, etc.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing good work ethic and top quality design results, as needed.
- Outstanding attention to detail is a necessity.
- Corrugated packaging experience is strongly preferred.
- A strong understanding of basic measurements with the ability to read a tape measure and convert decimals to fractions is required.
- Advanced computer skills including working knowledge of both MAC and PC platforms, Adobe Cloud Suite primary programs (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign). Word and Excel with experience in Amtech and ESKO Web-Center preferred.
- Comfortable moving between multiple projects and ad hoc requests.
- Deadline driven, creative and resourceful.
- Ability to work collaboratively, but still able to handle direction well.
- Associate's degree in Graphic Design (with prepress and color theory preferred) or previous experience in a similar role required.
- Minimum of 2-4 years flexographic, lithography and digital prepress experience.
- Minimum 2 years ESKO ArtiosCAD packaging experience.
- Adobe Cloud Suite
- Prepress software proficiency
- PC & MAC experience
- Sitting for up to 8+ hours
- Lifting, up to 25lbs.
- Standing up to 25% of work day
- Walking occasionally
- Speaking and Hearing frequently
