Physical Therapist (PT) – School-Based
Maumelle & Little Rock, Arkansas | Full-Time | Cynergy Rehab Group
SIGN ON BONUS: $1,000
How You'll Make an ImpactAs a School-Based Physical Therapist, you'll partner with educators, families, and interdisciplinary teams to help students access their educational environment through improved mobility, strength, endurance, and functional independence.
- Conducting comprehensive physical therapy evaluations for students with a variety of orthopedic, neurological, developmental, and genetic conditions
- Developing individualized treatment plans and measurable IEP goals that support educational participation
- Providing direct physical therapy services in school settings to improve functional mobility, balance, coordination, strength, endurance, and participation throughout the school day
- Recommending and monitoring adaptive equipment, mobility devices, positioning equipment, and orthotics
- Collaborating with teachers, special education staff, administrators, nurses, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, and families to support student success
- Participating in IEP meetings and providing consultation regarding classroom accommodations, accessibility, and mobility needs
- Educating school staff and caregivers on safe transfers, positioning, mobility strategies, and carryover activities
- Completing evaluations, progress reports, Medicaid documentation, and other required documentation in a timely and compliant manner
- Traveling between assigned school campuses in the Maumelle and Little Rock areas
- School-based practice serving students from preschool through high school
- Collaborative, team-oriented environment with educators and related service providers
- Structured school calendar that promotes excellent work-life balance
- Opportunities to build meaningful relationships with students, families, and school teams throughout the school year
- Current Arkansas Physical Therapist (PT) license
- Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
- Passion for working with children and helping students reach their full potential
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Pediatric or school-based experience preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply
