Academics Plus Charter Schools, Inc. (APCSI) is seeking qualified applicants for the position of a Full-Time Maintenance worker for the district.

The custodian should be able to provide maintenance and custodial services as needed and/or as assigned.

• High School Diploma/GED
• Successful completion of the pre-employment background checks.

REPORTS TO: Director of Maintenance & or School Principal

• Develop and maintain a cleaning schedule that will include cleaning of floors, chalkboards, wastebaskets, windows, furniture, equipment, and restrooms.
• Maintain a program of preventive maintenance to ensure the comfort, health, and safety of students and staff.
• Move furniture, equipment of materials within building and across campuses as directed by principal or supervisor
• Keep school building and grounds, including sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, and play areas neat and clean.
• Assist with the cleanup in the cafeteria during breakfast and lunch periods, cleaning trays, removing trash, etc, as directed by supervisor.
• Perform some heavy lifting.
• Perform work at varying heights on a ladder.
• Other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands:
Strenuous walking, standing, and/or climbing; heavy lifting and carrying; work outside and inside; exposure to hot and cold temperatures; exposure to dust, toxic chemicals, and materials; slippery or uneven walking surfaces; work on ladders; ability to lift and carry 75lbs.
