Warehouse Forklift Driver - Nights

Location:

Holman Logistics

Schedule:

Panama Schedule - 5:45 pm to 6:00 am (overnight shift)

Compensation: $17.50 per hour + $0.50 shift differential

Essential Functions

  • Operate a lift truck continuously on shift, including proficiency in driving backwards and having continuous visual awareness.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on vehicles and auxiliary equipment (e.g., cleaning, recharging batteries, operating the magnetic battery system); report defects or repairs.
  • Inspect product condition for damage or contamination; move and place product securely in storage; stage product for outbound loads; remove and empty waste bins.
  • Control lift trucks to transport raw materials, finishing supplies, or finished product to/from warehouse, trailers, or operating lines.
  • Operate lifting devices (forklifts, lift beams, swivel‑hooks, hoists, elevating platforms) to load, unload, transport, and stack material.
  • Position lifting devices around pallets, skids, and boxes; securely secure material for transport.
  • Manually load or unload materials onto pallets, skids, platforms, or lifting devices.
  • Operate a powered air‑supplied respirator for cleaning tasks.
  • Maintain housekeeping of department/areas.
  • Show reliable attendance at scheduled shifts.
  • Perform duties in conformance with safety and security standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned or needed.
Position Qualifications
  • Attendance:
    Ability to work required schedule, arrive on time, and work voluntary/mandatory overtime during busy season.
  • Communication:
    Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally; understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Mathematics:
    Perform basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
  • Language:
    Identify and compare letters and numbers; read and interpret documents such as receipts, invoices, operating instructions; write simple sentences.

    Work effectively with people of all ages, genders, races, ethnicities, religions, or job types.

    Establish and maintain effective relationships with customers, co‑workers, and management.

    Verify paperwork to ensure correct product receipt and outgoing product quality.

Skills & Abilities
  • Education:

    High School Graduate or General Education Diploma (GED) preferred.
  • Experience:

    Minimum two (2) years in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
  • Computer

    Skills:

    Basic computer or tablet use; hand‑held radio.
  • Certificates & Licenses:
    Forklift Certification preferred; must be able to complete Holman’s forklift certification program.
