In one of our manufacturing roles, you’ll focus on winning with consumers and the market, while putting safety, mutual respect, and human dignity at the center. The Production Operator Maintainer (POM) provides on-shift operational leadership/support for their assigned line and reports to a Machine Crew Leader. As a Production Operator Maintainer you will be directly responsible for developing the plan of the day and executing the plan for your assigned line.
InThis Role, You Will
- Lead and coordinate the asset team to achieve daily production, safety, quality, reliability, and site performance targets.
- Provide technical leadership and troubleshooting support by maintaining advanced process, mechanical, and operational expertise to address equipment and process upsets.
- Manage daily asset operations including start-ups, shutdowns, grade changes, CIP, sanitization activities, and other operational reliability initiatives.
- Coordinate and prioritize daily work activities with operators, Machine Crew Leaders (MCLs), Shift Teams, and supporting departments to ensure production requirements are met.
- Drive asset performance and continuous improvement efforts through TPM, preventive maintenance, autonomous maintenance, OPEX initiatives, problem solving, and TIP activities.
- Lead shift communication processes including Tier 1 meetings, KPI updates, shift handoffs, production reporting, escalation management, and performance documentation.
- Coach, train, and develop team members by supporting new hire onboarding, identifying training needs, providing on-shift coaching, and reinforcing operational standards.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, environmental, and operational standards, including completion and follow-up of QIRs, OSRs, EHS events, and production conformance requirements.
- Utilize and maintain operational systems and documentation such as SAP, ETQ, POKA, SMOM, process orders, centerline settings, and asset performance records.
- Perform and support equipment maintenance activities, including basic repairs, process adjustments, troubleshooting, reliability improvements, and escalation of complex issues when needed.
- Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Leadership.
To succeed in this role, you will need the following qualifications:
- Are 18 years or older and authorized to work in the United States.
- Have a state and/or US Department of Education accredited high school diploma, GED Grade 12 certificate.
- 1+ years of continuous work experience.
- Have basic computer knowledge, mechanical aptitude and good math skills.
- Ability to maintain a work schedule of 12-hour shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays and overtime.
- Successfully passing a hands-on mechanical assessment and skill knowledge evaluation is required to be considered for this role.
- Can pass a pre-employment assessment and a pre-employment drug + background screening.
- Can pass post-offer / pre-hire Physical Abilities Test (PAT).
- Adhere to all Quality Requirements including strict Gowning and Hygiene requirements.
- Must be able to wear the required PPE while performing tasks.
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds twice each hour. Perform bending, twisting, stooping, and crouching movements and ascend and descend stairs, ladders, and ramps.
