Finance Department Assistant
This position assists the Finance Department in the processing of accounting and financial transactions; reconciliation of accounts; reporting; and maintenance of the general ledger. The following duties are normal for this position. However, they are not to be construed as exclusive or all–inclusive. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily. Other duties may also be required or assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of accounting and auditing methods, procedures, and financial practices.
- Ability to establish and maintain accurate records of assigned activities and operations.
- Skill in time management; prioritizing duties to accomplish a high volume of quality work product requiring minimal supervision.
- Ability to define problems, exercise sound judgment, and address a variety of situations successfully.
- Knowledge and ability to follow the policies and practices contained in the County Personnel Handbook.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of all patient care information and assure patient rights and privacy are protected at all times per HIPAA.
- Must successfully pass criminal background check
Minimum Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree from an accredited college in an accounting or related program and two (2) years' work experience in accounting and bookkeeping.
