Description:
The Dialysis Technician assists in providing hemodialysis to patients.
This includes preparing dialysis machines, cannulating patient access, and initiating or discontinuing treatments.
Evaluate patient access before cannulation for each treatment.
Set up and tear down of dialysis machines in a safe and timely manner.
Document necessary data for each patient for every treatment.
Monitor patients closely during treatment for any adverse reactions and report to the nurse accordingly.
Obtain lab specimens as ordered.
Attend daily huddles and monthly meetings as scheduled.
Perform other nursing duties as requested.
