Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment in a skilled nursing facility in Mauston, WI. The Nursing Home RN assists with day-to-day nursing activities, playing a critical role in providing exceptional healthcare to residents. This position is ideal for a clinician who possesses a passion for geriatric care and thrives in a leadership role on the floor.

Required Qualifications:

Candidates who do not meet 100% of the following criteria will not be considered for this role.
License:
Must hold and maintain an active Wisconsin (WI) Registered Nursing license.
Certifications:
Current CPR/BLS certification is mandatory.
Education:
Minimum of a two-year degree in nursing (Associate Degree) is required; a four-year degree (BSN) is preferred.
Experience:
2+ years of related clinical work experience (LTC or SNF) is preferred.
Clinical
Skills:
Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail are required for medication administration and resident assessments.
Key Responsibilities:
Resident Assessments:
Complete all applicable resident assessments and monitor for significant changes in condition.
Medication Administration:
Accurately administer medications while strictly following the "5 Rights" of administration.
Clinical Communication:
Provide timely updates to physicians, families, and the interdisciplinary team regarding resident status.
Wound Care:
Perform wound care and skin assessments as needed, ensuring proper documentation of progress.
Leadership:
Act as the leader on the floor, assessing and directing situations as they arise and providing guidance to CNAs and support staff.
Patient Advocacy:
Assist with direct care tasks, including answering call lights, and report any allegations of abuse, neglect, or misappropriation immediately.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate, thorough, and timely resident records via the facility's charting system.

Shift Details:
This position requires high flexibility. Shifts include a combination of afternoon/evening hours (1:00 PM – 10:30 PM) and overnight rotations (9:00 PM – 6:30 AM), including every other weekend.
