Job Description:
Join a Wisconsin OB RN team for a travel contract built around night-shift maternity care. In this role, you’ll provide direct nursing support for maternal and newborn patients, including triaging based on presenting symptoms, assessing labor progression, and managing induction of labor and cervical ripening. You’ll use fetal heart monitoring skills—accurately performing and interrupting monitoring as needed—and respond confidently to time-sensitive medical emergencies such as prolapsed cord, breech delivery, postpartum hemorrhage, precipitous delivery, uterine rupture, meconium management, abruptio placenta, and placenta previa.
The assignment is designed for an experienced, detail-focused nurse who’s ready to cross-train when needed to support Med Surg/EICU care. Expect a shift that runs through the night with a consistent cadence (7:00 PM–7:30 AM), where your assessment, medication administration, and escalation to the provider are essential to safe, coordinated care. You’ll also assess newborn status, recognize situations requiring heightened surveillance, and support neonatal interventions within your scope and certifications.
