Position will be expected to split time between both Crest View in New Lisbon and Fair View in Mauston.
Position Summary:
The LTC QA Nurse position supports Long Term Care by helping ensure both nursing homes and the CBRF are continually compliant with regulatory standards. This role involves performing a variety of complex, often confidential, and analytical tasks related to quality improvement, regulatory readiness and quality of care.
Position Responsibilities:
- Manage quality assurance and improvement programs across LTC including but not limited to falls, behavior, infection prevention/control
- Manage referrals and prepare necessary documents for admissions
- Attend QA meetings and create/implement/track PIPs when necessary
- Chart review, data collection, report generation
- Serves as backup for MDS
- Initiates the development of policies and procedures that govern applicable programs
- Maintain Regulatory Compliance with DHS 132 and all CMS Regulations
- Perform other duties as requested.
Position Requirements:
- Two-year degree in nursing required, four-year degree in nursing preferred.
- 2+ years of related work experience preferred.
- Maintain and hold Wisconsin RN license.
- Must maintain a valid, current driver's license.
- Current CPR/BLS certification required.
- Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail required.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Possesses skills and knowledge in the following areas: strategies of nursing management, foundations of long-term care regulations, Medicare & Medicaid guidelines.
- Intermediate to expert proficiency with computers is required.
- Requires assessment, evaluation, and decision-making skills.
- Strong quantitative and analytical competency.
- Self-starter with excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to have continuous oral and written communication with co-workers and supervisors is essential.
