Overview
Registered Nurse, OB/GYN in Mauston, Wisconsin, US. Start date 07/06/2026 for a 13‑week travel assignment with guaranteed 36 hours per week and a 3x12‑hour night shift. This role supports an inpatient obstetrics and newborn care unit within a short‑term care setting, partnering with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high‑quality maternal and newborn nursing care.

07/06/2026 - Setting: inpatient obstetrics and newborn care in a short‑term care environment
- Complete initial nursing histories, assess conditions, and develop individual plans of care for obstetric and newborn patients
- Triage patient care, monitor labor progression, and manage induction and cervical ripening as indicated
- Administer medications accurately and respond to obstetric emergencies (e.g., prolapsed cord, breech delivery, postpartum hemorrhage, precipitous delivery)
- Perform and interpret fetal heart monitoring; manage pregnancy‑related concerns such as hypertension and diabetes
- Assess newborn condition, recognize needs for higher level care, and perform neonatal resuscitation within scope of practice and certification; monitor for sepsis, hypoglycemia, hypothermia, and jaundice
- Promote patient education, involve families, and communicate changes to the care team; promptly alert the provider as patient status changes
- Wisconsin RN license (active)
- Education:
two‑year nursing degree required; four‑year degree preferred - Certifications:
AHA BLS within 1 month of hire; NRP within 6 months of hire; STABLE within 1 year of hire;
Intermediate Fetal Monitoring within 1 year of hire - The role requires ability to work in an obstetric/newborn inpatient care setting and to perform neonatal care within certification scope
- An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered
