Registered Nurse – Emergency Department

Schedule:

12-hour shifts, combination between 7 AM - 7 PM and 10 AM - 10 PM, with every 3rd weekend.

Assignment Details:

Requirements:

• Two-year degree in nursing required; four-year degree preferred.
• Must hold and maintain a state Registered Nursing license or active Compact Licensure.
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC required; ATCN preferred.
• 2+ years of relevant work experience.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Coordinate nursing care for patients in the Emergency Department across all age groups.
• Perform age-appropriate assessments and ensure safe, effective patient care.
• Conduct triage using the Emergency Severity Index (ESI) 5-level process.
• Document nursing care and patient responses in an acceptable medical format.
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers and departments for optimal patient care.
• Advocate for patients and communicate their needs effectively.
