Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Labor and Delivery RN for a 13‑week travel assignment in Mauston, Wisconsin.

• Communicate labor and delivery procedures to patients and families, providing reassurance and addressing concerns
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved obstetric nursing techniques
• Prepare equipment and aid physicians during labor, delivery, and examination of patients
• Provide immediate postpartum care, including assessment and stabilization of mother and newborn
• Educate patients and families on postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, and newborn care
• Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatologists, and other team members to deliver cohesive care
• Respond to obstetric emergencies, including preeclampsia, hemorrhage, or fetal distress, using evidence‑based protocols
• Document patient care, assessments, and interventions accurately in the medical record
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance maternal and neonatal outcomes
• Perform fetal monitoring and interpret results
• Assist in cesarean sections and other obstetric procedures
• Comply with all regulatory standards, including hospital policies, state laws, and federal guidelines for obstetric nursing care
• Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of labor and delivery nursing

• One year of recent experience as a Labor and Delivery RN
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification

• AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certification
• STABLE and ACLS certifications (AHA/ARC)
• Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and proficiency in PC skills
• Physical abilities: must be able to remain stationary, move about, move equipment (50‑100 lbs), push, pull, and bend
• Interpersonal skills: work effectively with a variety of personnel and maintain a positive attitude
• Technical/motor skills: fine manipulation, push/pull, and move during procedures
• Mental requirements: cope with frequent contact with public, meet deadlines under pressure, work under close supervision or without assistance, handle irregular schedules and maintain concentration to detail
