Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Labor and Delivery RN for a 13‑week travel assignment in Mauston, Wisconsin.

- Communicate labor and delivery procedures to patients and families, providing reassurance and addressing concerns
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved obstetric nursing techniques
- Prepare equipment and aid physicians during labor, delivery, and examination of patients
- Provide immediate postpartum care, including assessment and stabilization of mother and newborn
- Educate patients and families on postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, and newborn care
- Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatologists, and other team members to deliver cohesive care
- Respond to obstetric emergencies, including preeclampsia, hemorrhage, or fetal distress, using evidence‑based protocols
- Document patient care, assessments, and interventions accurately in the medical record
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance maternal and neonatal outcomes
- Perform fetal monitoring and interpret results
- Assist in cesarean sections and other obstetric procedures
- Comply with all regulatory standards, including hospital policies, state laws, and federal guidelines for obstetric nursing care
- Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of labor and delivery nursing
- One year of recent experience as a Labor and Delivery RN
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
- AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certification
- STABLE and ACLS certifications (AHA/ARC)
- Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position

- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and proficiency in PC skills
- Physical abilities: must be able to remain stationary, move about, move equipment (50‑100 lbs), push, pull, and bend
- Interpersonal skills: work effectively with a variety of personnel and maintain a positive attitude
- Technical/motor skills: fine manipulation, push/pull, and move during procedures
- Mental requirements: cope with frequent contact with public, meet deadlines under pressure, work under close supervision or without assistance, handle irregular schedules and maintain concentration to detail
