Schedule

Weekender shifts (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) from 7pm to 7am, with additional holiday coverage as needed.

The Registered Nurse position is responsible for coordinating nursing care for patients in the Emergency Department across all ages, from pediatric to geriatric. The RN will perform direct patient care and collaborate with various disciplines to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

• Plan, implement, and evaluate all levels of patient care.
• Perform age-appropriate assessments and provide safe and effective care.
• Conduct triage using the Emergency Severity Index (ESI) 5 level triage process.
• Document patient care accurately using medical terminology.
• Coordinate care needs of multiple patients while prioritizing effectively.
• Advocate for patients through effective communication with providers and peers.
• Participate in continuing education and professional development.
• Monitor life support equipment and perform necessary treatments.
• Insert and administer IV fluids, blood products, and parenteral fluids.
• Respond to crises in a calm and efficient manner.
• Maintain equipment and supplies, ensuring readiness for patient care.
• Provide educational experiences for pre‑hospital emergency providers and other students.

• Must hold and maintain a valid Wisconsin Registered Nursing license or active Compact Licensure.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC; ATCN preferred.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy is essential.
• A minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience is required.

This is a 13‑week contract position.
