Registered Nurse – Maternal/Child Health

Part-time, 12-hour night shifts,  with weekend rotation. Contract Length: 13 weeks Guaranteed

Hours:

32 per week

Requirements:

• Two-year degree in nursing required; four-year degree preferred.
• Must hold and maintain a Wisconsin Registered Nursing license.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 1 month of hire.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification within 6 months of hire.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 1 year of hire.
• STABLE certification within 1 year of hire.
• Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification within 1 year of hire.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Provide quality nursing care for maternal and newborn patients, while collaborating with other healthcare professionals.
• Complete initial nursing histories, assess patients' conditions, and develop individual plans of care.
• Triage patient care based on presenting or expressed symptoms and administer medications accurately.
• Manage labor progression and handle a variety of obstetric emergencies.
• Perform and interpret fetal heart monitoring and manage pregnancy-related concerns.
• Assess and monitor the newborn's condition and recognize situations that require higher levels of care.
• Educate patients about care for newborns and communicate effectively with the care team.
