Registered Nurse – Emergency Department

Schedule:

3 - 12 hour shifts 7a-7p and 10a-10p, every 3rd weekend and rotational holidays

Requirements:

• Two-year degree in nursing required; four-year degree preferred
• Must hold and maintain active Registered Nursing license
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC required; ATCN preferred
• 2+ years of relevant work experience
• Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail required

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Plan, implement, and evaluate all levels of patient care in the Emergency Department.
• Perform age-appropriate assessments and triage according to the Emergency Severity Index (ESI).
• Document all nursing care provided and patient responses in a medically and legally acceptable manner.
• Collaborate with providers, peers, and ancillary departments to ensure efficient and optimal patient care.
• Coordinate the care needs of multiple patients, prioritizing care to enhance patient flow.
• Monitor life support and technical equipment, and administer medications and emergency treatments as needed.
