Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) performs essential functions for neonatal through geriatric patient populations in a hospital setting, aligning with established standards, policies, and procedures.

• Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, oral care, feeding, toileting, ambulation, and repositioning.
• Administer ice packs, heat treatments, and other therapies as directed by a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Conduct accurate intake and output measurements, daily weights, vital signs, fingerstick blood glucose testing, specimen collection, and postmortem care.
• Promptly respond to call lights and patient requests.
• Adhere to Infection Control Practices consistently while performing patient care and maintaining cleanliness.
• Report any changes in patient conditions to the Registered Nurse.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients, coworkers, and visitors.
• Comply with all organizational and regulatory policies regarding the handling of confidential patient information.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Successful completion of a nursing assistant course or equivalent experience.
• Certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant required or to be obtained within 4 months of hire.
• Must hold and maintain Wisconsin Certified Nursing Assistant certification.
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 1 month of hire.
• Preferred: 1+ years of related work experience.
• Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail are required.

This position is for the night shift from 9:30 PM to 7:00 AM, with a schedule that includes every third weekend and a holiday rotation.

Holiday coverage is required.

Less than 1 year of relevant experience is necessary.

• Current BLS/BCLS certification.
