American Traveler is hiring a WI or compact licensed RN for a Long Term Care Med/Surg position with weekend day/PM shift requirements.
Requirements- Active WI or compact RN license required
- Current BLS/CPR certification required
- Two-year nursing degree required, four-year degree preferred
- Less than 1 year of experience required, 1+ years preferred
- Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail required
- Long Term Care/Nursing Home setting
- Uses Meditech EMR
- 13-week contract assignment
- Weekend PM/day rotating shift schedule with 14-hour shifts (2pm-10:30pm and 6am-8:30pm)
- Holiday coverage required
- Communicate significant changes in resident condition to physicians and families in a timely manner
- Complete resident assessments and medication administration following the 5 Rights
- Perform wound care and assessments as needed
- Assist CNAs and monitor residents for changes in condition
- Act as a leader on the floor, assessing and directing situations as needed
- Report allegations of abuse, neglect, or misappropriation to the Director of Nursing and Administrator
- Maintain accurate and thorough resident charting
