Be a problem solver, trusted advisor, and partner to the people and businesses in our Key Bank communities. The Person al Banker engages clients in deeper conversations to uncover needs and provide guidance and solutions to assist clients in their financial wellness both in person and through proactive calling efforts. The role includes attracting new clients and expanding relationships with existing ones based on their unique financial goals, leading to client confidence in their finances.
The Person al Banker is client‑first, sales‑driven, self‑motivated, and competitive. Strong teamwork, communication polish, and confidence are critical for this role.
- Embody a strong client experience culture, being present with every client and teammate.
- Listen for clues for financial wellness opportunities during in‑person and phone conversations and provide customized recommendations.
- Consistently attain activity, behavior, and outcome goals.
- Open personal and business accounts (checking, deposit products, home equity, lending, certificates of deposit, etc.).
- Develop strong partnerships with branch teammates and line‑of‑business partners focused on client acquisition and deepening current client relationships.
- Ensure compliance with operational, risk, security, and audit procedures and policies, documenting client interactions.
- Support branch operations, including assisting with teller transactions as needed.
- Participate in and occasionally facilitate morning huddles and end‑of‑day debriefs.
- Work Saturdays as directed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent business experience (required);
Bachelor’s Degree preferred. - Minimum 1 year experience in developing current and new customer relationships, achieving sales goals, and building referral sources.
- Understanding of consumer credit, including loan‑to‑value, debt‑to‑income, and credit reports.
- Foundational knowledge of sales and service techniques with clients (tele‑consulting, outside calling, prospecting, networking).
- Comfortable interacting with small business clients, overcoming objection, and asking fact‑finding questions.
- Experience with influencing business partners and leveraging centers of influence.
- Working knowledge of PCs (MS Windows and Office Suite).
- Working knowledge of digital technology (mobile apps, web browsing) and ability to educate clients.
- Notary License (preferred).
- In-depth knowledge of client accounts and sound judgment in transactions.
- Ability to attain sales and referral goals through appointments and quality conversations.
- Strong work ethic, integrity, and time‑management skills.
- Building and nurturing client relationships, identifying potential clients, and converting them into long‑term clients.
- Excellent customer service and ability to resolve issues promptly.
- Financial analysis to recommend investment opportunities.
- Risk management associated with banking operations.
- Strong verbal and non‑verbal communication skills.
- Accurate and efficient handling of cash transactions.

Physical Demands & Driving Requirements- Prolonged standing (5‑8 hours/day), frequent hand use, occasional bending and lifting from floor height, forward reach, lifting 1‑10 lbs., occasional up to 30 lbs.
- Must routinely operate a motor vehicle with a valid driver’s license.
Base hourly rate: $20.67 – $31.25 per hour, plus incentive compensation (production, commission, discretionary incentives). Eligible for a full benefits package.
