CompensationHourly base pay range: $15–$17 per hour, with daily cash tips.
Work ScheduleBeachwood Health:
Monday through Friday, 8am–4pm, no weekends.
Hillcrest Hospital (4 positions):
Monday through Friday, 7am–3pm, 8am–4pm, 10am–6pm, 12pm–8pm, no weekends.
Employees may enroll in accident insurance, critical illness insurance, hospital indemnity insurance, and telemedicine benefits. A 401(k) retirement savings plan is available. Eligibility depends on classification, length of employment, and hours worked. Seasonal and temporary roles are not eligible for these benefits.
Job SummaryThe Guest Service Associate provides exceptional hospitality services in an attentive, friendly, and efficient manner. Responsibilities include parking and retrieving guest vehicles promptly and safely, assisting guests with luggage, and providing courteous service throughout.
Essential Functions- Maintains a pleasant, friendly, and professional demeanor with all guests, co‑workers, and clients.
- Greets guests within five feet with a professional and friendly demeanor, using their last names.
- Salutes guests appropriately and welcomes them to the location, practicing proper phone etiquette.
- Parks and retrieves vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously, assists with bell services and luggage storage, and opens vehicle and hotel doors for guests.
- Assists guests with directions, taxis, reservations, and inquiries; provides information about outlets, meeting rooms, and amenities; delivers messages and items as requested; and shuttles guests to approved locations.
- Explains parking rates and retrieval procedures, issues and collects claim checks, maintains ticket information, and calculates and collects revenue for vehicles when necessary.
- All tasks collectively account for 100% of the job’s time.
- Education: High school diploma or GED.
- Licensure: Valid driver’s license for the state where work is performed or within a commutable distance.
- Work Experience: At least one month of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge: Principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
- Skills: Ability to read and write standard English, comprehend simple instructions, write simple correspondence, present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations, perform basic arithmetic, understand 24‑hour and military time systems, comprehend rates and time values, operate a manual transmission, and perform parallel parking.
The role is routine; decisions are made within operational instructions and departmental guidelines. Minor judgment errors could affect the smooth operation of the department.
Working Conditions & Physical DemandsEmployees must talk or hear, frequently sit or stand for extended periods, run, walk, handle objects, reach, climb stairs, and balance. Lifting up to 100 pounds occasionally, 50 pounds frequently, or 20 pounds constantly may be required. Work is primarily outdoors with exposure to extreme heat, cold, and weather variations. Travel up to 5% may be required.
