About This Role
The RN in the Pediatric Emergency Department at Cleveland Clinic Hillcrest Hospital provides specialized nursing care to pediatric patients in a supportive and child‑friendly environment. This role is ideal for compassionate nurses who thrive in fast‑paced settings and are dedicated to delivering high‑quality care.
Highlights- Pay: $35.50 - $55.60/hour
- Location: Mayfield Hts, OH
- Facility: Hillcrest Hospital
- Department/Unit: Pediatric Emergency Department
- Schedule: Full‑time, Night shift
- Provide direct nursing care.
- Implement and monitor patient care plans.
- Monitor, record, and communicate patients’ conditions.
- Evaluate, update, and revise plan of care to facilitate achievement of planned outcomes.
- Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
- Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
- Educate patients and families with educational materials considering cultural issues.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatment in accordance with approved nursing protocol.
Education:
- Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing (Diploma, ADN, or BSN program) required.
Experience:
- One year of current acute care RN experience OR military RN experience required.
Licenses &
Certifications:
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
- Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) upon hire or within 24 months required.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within one year of hire required.
