PRN RN – Pediatric Short Stay

About This Role

The PRN RN in the Pediatric Short Stay Unit at Cleveland Clinic Hillcrest Hospital provides short-term medical care and observation for children requiring hospital-level treatment. This role is ideal for compassionate caregivers who excel in delivering exceptional patient care.

• Pay: $43.00/hour
• Location: Mayfield Hts, OH
• Facility: Hillcrest Hospital
• Department/Unit: Pediatric Short Stay Unit
• Schedule: Per Diem, Night shift

• Provide direct nursing care.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patients’ conditions.
• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
• Float to the Pediatric Emergency Department as needed.

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (ADN or BSN program) required
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

• 2+ years recent related nursing experience for external applicants
• Internal applicants with less than 2 years’ experience may be considered with approval

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required within one year of hire
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) or Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) required within 24 months of beginning work in the Emergency Department
