About This Role

The New Grad RN Resident in the Emergency Department (ED) at Cleveland Clinic Hillcrest Hospital is designed for recent nursing graduates seeking to develop their skills in a fast‑paced, supportive environment. This role involves providing critical care to patients while participating in a comprehensive residency program.

• Location: Mayfield Hts, OH
• Facility: Hillcrest Hospital
• Schedule: Full‑time, Night shift
• Pay: $35.50 - $55.60/hour

• Participate in a residency core curriculum based on individual learning needs.
• Provide direct nursing care alongside a success coach.
• Establish and/or revise priorities for patient care based on acuity of need, patient preference, and resource availability.
• Respond to data indicating risk to patients’ health and initiate action to correct, reduce, or prevent risk.
• Seek supervision, consultation, and assistance when unable to perform safely and independently.
• Document in patients’ medical records.

Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing (Diploma, ADN, BSN program) required.

• New grad or less than one year RN work experience required.
• If experienced RN, must have less than one year current acute direct patient care RN experience.

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred.
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) or Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) completion within two years of hire preferred.
