RN – Endoscopy

About This Role

As an RN in the Endoscopy department at Cleveland Clinic, you will provide exceptional nursing care to patients undergoing various diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. • Provide nursing care to hospitalized patients undergoing diagnostic or therapeutic services.
• Assess patients, complete nursing assessments, document findings, and notify physicians of abnormal findings.
• Perform telephone triage and call rotations.
• Perform nursing procedures and administer treatments and medications.
• Establish care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
• Coordinate ongoing care, identify discharge needs, and facilitate discharge planning.
• Evaluate, initiate, and maintain standards of care.
• Assist with specialized patient care equipment as required by the clinical department.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered by a physician or LIP.
• Educate patients and families.

• Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing (ADN or BSN program) required.
• Experience: One year of recent experience as an RN OR Licensed RN with at least 2 years of LPN experience in the same procedural department may substitute for required RN experience.

  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within the first six months of employment.
  • Certified Registered Nurse Infusion (CRNI) or Vascular Access Board Certified (VA‑BC) certification preferred within three years of hire.
