RN – Pre & Post-Surgical General Surgery

About This Role

As an RN in the Pre & Post-Surgical General Surgery unit at Cleveland Clinic Hillcrest Hospital, you will provide essential nursing care to adult and geriatric patients undergoing various surgeries. This role is ideal for dedicated caregivers who thrive in a supportive team environment.

• Pay: $35.50 - $55.60/hour
• Location: Mayfield Hts, OH
• Facility: Hillcrest Hospital
• Schedule: Full-time, Day shift

• Provide direct nursing care.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patients’ conditions.
• Evaluate, update, and revise plan of care to facilitate achievement of planned outcomes.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
• Educate patients and families using educational materials considering cultural issues.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatment in accordance with approved nursing protocol.

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (Diploma, ADN, BSN program) required.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

• One year current acute care RN experience in a hospital setting required.
• Will consider military RN experience.

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross required.
