New Grad RN Resident – Progressive Care Unit; PCU

About This Role

The New Grad RN Resident in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at Cleveland Clinic Hillcrest Hospital is an entry-level position ideal for recent nursing graduates. This role involves providing direct patient care and participating in a residency program to enhance clinical skills.

• Pay: $35.50 - $55.60/hour
• Location: Mayfield Hts, OH
• Facility: Hillcrest Hospital
• Department/Unit: Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
• Schedule: Full-time, Day shift

• Participate in a residency core curriculum based on individual learning needs.
• Provide direct nursing care alongside a success coach.
• Establish and/or revise priorities for patient care.
• Respond to data indicating risk to patients' health and initiate corrective actions.
• Seek supervision, consultation, and assistance when necessary.
• Document in patients' medical records.

Education:

• Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN program) required.

Experience:

• New grad or less than one year of RN work experience required.
• Experience moving from non-inpatient to acute direct care clinical inpatient setting with less than one-year current acute direct patient care RN experience preferred.

Licenses &

Certifications:

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required upon hire or within one year of employment.
