Seeking a registered nurse to join a Critical Care Step Down Unit, providing high-quality, patient-centered care to diverse populations including those with congestive heart failure, COPD, DKA, and sepsis.
Key responsibilities include EKG interpretation, central line care, managing rescue Bi-PAP, high-flow oxygen, trachs/vents, and assisting with bedside procedures
. The role requires critical thinking, delegation, and effective time management while collaborating with patient care assistants, interns, providers, and therapy teams
.
The unit features 14 beds and utilizes advanced technology such as patient lifts, hands-free communication, virtual whiteboards, and telemetry monitoring.
Qualifications include graduation from an accredited nursing program, current RN licensure in Ohio, BLS, and ACLS certifications
. PRN staff need at least one year of relevant RN experience and must obtain certifications upon hire. Preferred candidates possess a BSN or professional certification recognized by the Magnet
