Specialty Beauty Advisor – Clinique
Responsible for maximizing sales in the Clinique brand (color cosmetics, skincare, fragrance) by engaging guests, determining their needs, selecting and purchasing merchandise, and maintaining overall store standards.
Responsibilities Performance- Meet or exceed Clinique brand sales and clientele goals and contribute to store sales and service goals.
- Provide exceptional service: greet & engage every guest, personalize service, offer samples, and recommend complementary products/services.
- Perform makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations.
- Book appointments and support in‑store events that deliver an unrivaled guest experience while meeting sales goals.
- Build & maintain strong customer relationships, maintain active contact with a growing customer list, and follow up on inquiries.
- Inform guests of current promotions, events, and services.
- Stay informed about new and existing products, understanding ingredients and benefits.
- Maintain punctual & regular attendance.
- Contribute to an inclusive environment that supports teammates, peers, and guests.
- Share the benefits of the guest loyalty program, including credit and the Ulta Beauty app.
- Maintain strong relationships with Clinique brand partners through required trainings and events.
- Collaborate with managers and associates to help grow the business.
- Participate in ongoing brand and category training for continuous professional development.
- Know and adhere to Ulta Beauty’s policies, procedures, and standards.
- Follow the Ulta Beauty and Clinique brand dress code, wearing brand assets as directed.
- Drive sales by keeping the work area replenished, signed, and faced; ensure testers are available & meet hygiene standards.
- Maintain outstanding store operational standards, including cleanliness of the Clinique area and all assigned areas.
- Participate in merchandise resets, planograms, marketing displays, inventory procedures, and shipment processing for Clinique.
- Protect company assets by following loss prevention best practices while providing excellent guest service.
- Execute other operational tasks as directed.
- High school diploma preferred.
- Cosmetology or demonstrator license where required by state law.
- Cosmetics artistry experience preferred.
- Significant competency in sales, products, and service.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Work independently and as part of a team.
- Positively and proactively handle guest concerns and prioritize tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Position Requirements
- Work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Attend brand‑sponsored trainings.
- Frequent mobility during shift.
- Frequent standing, bending, pulling, pushing, reaching, and twisting.
- Continuous lifting and/or moving up to 10 lbs.
- Continuous coordination and manipulation of objects.

Compensation and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $16.00 – $24.00 per hour. Exact pay is based on factors such as education, qualifications, certifications, experience, level, shift, location, and business needs. Eligible associates may also earn overtime pay as required by applicable law. Full‑time positions are eligible for paid time off, health, dental, vision, life, and disability benefits. Part‑time positions are eligible for dental, vision, life, and disability benefits.
