Senior Embedded Software Engineer (Hybrid – Mayfield Heights, OH)

We’re hiring a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to join a world-class industrial automation team building real-time control systems used in manufacturing environments around the world. This is hands-on, close-to-hardware work on complex products — not application-layer fluff.

You’ll design, build, and own embedded software that runs inside advanced control systems, working with engineers across hardware, firmware, and systems teams.

• Build and maintain real-time embedded software for industrial control products
• Design and implement software that communicates through APIs, services, and industrial protocols
• Work close to hardware using debuggers, emulators, oscilloscopes
• Participate in code/design reviews and help drive best practices across the team
• Mentor junior engineers and influence technical direction

• 5+ years of embedded software development experience
• Strong C++ in real-time or low-level systems
• Experience with RTOS environments
• Comfortable working across the full SDLC in an Agile team
• Solid debugging skills on real hardware

• Experience on ARM and x86 platforms
• Python for scripting or tooling
• Industrial protocols, especially CIP
• Git, Jenkins
  , and CI/CD pipelines
• Test automation and requirements-driven development

• Work on mission-critical control systems used in real manufacturing environments
• Modern tech stack with strong engineering culture
• High ownership, real impact, and room to mentor and lead

Hybrid role based in Mayfield Heights, OH (2–3 days onsite).
