Role Summary

The Information Application Development Engineer / Architect will create modern industrial applications across OT and IT layers, ensuring Connected Enterprise and IIoT solutions. Our development is often carried out as part of a co‑innovation program with focused customers.

Provide technical pre‑sales and post‑sale support of company products/systems. Provide technical support in sales presentations, product demonstrations, installation and maintenance of company products to ensure that the system is functioning according to specifications. Provide answers to customer inquiries concerning system software and applications. Provide software development and consultation to prospective users. May build a mini‑application based on customer requirements to demonstrate feasibility of the application, often requiring rapid prototyping.

• Logix platform – Studio 5000 Logix Designer, Factory Talk Design Studio
• Factory Talk Optix – HMI / edge application platform
• Factory Talk Data Mosaix – industrial data platform
• Plex MES and Fiix CMMS – enterprise systems

• Develop applications using Logix Designer and Factory Talk Optix
• Build edge‑to‑cloud integrations using Data Mosaix, Plex, and Fiix
• Develop APIs, microservices, and modern web applications
• Use time‑series databases and data visualization tools
• Develop requirements from the understanding of manufacturing systems
• Define architectures from Logix control layer to cloud
• Align control data models with enterprise and cloud solutions
• Apply cloud‑native and event‑driven architectures
• Improve adoption of OPC UA standards
• Design data models using Smart Objects, FT Optix and FT Data Mosaix
• Integrate Logix, historian, and enterprise data
• Promote analytics and predictive use cases
• Industrial automation systems (PLC, HMI, SCADA)
• Translate complex architectures into solutions

• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S.; no visa sponsorship.

• Typically requires a minimum of 12 years of related experience.
• JavaScript, Type Script, or Python
• C# / .NET
• Microservices, APIs, container‑based systems
• Technical and business writing
• Proficiency in CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git Lab, etc.)
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with a data warehouse such as Snowflake, Redshift, or Spark
• Understanding of InfluxDB / Grafana dashboarding
• Understanding of MQTT / Kafka data streaming
