We are looking for a Manufacturing Test Software Engineer to design high‑reliability test solutions that integrate hardware and software for complex and dynamic manufacturing environments.
This role covers all phases of the development lifecycle — requirements gathering, design, implementation, testing, release, maintenance, and ongoing support. You will report to the Manufacturing Test Engineering Manager and have a hybrid schedule working in Mayfield Heights or Twinsburg, OH.
Your Responsibilities:- Develop safety‑critical manufacturing test systems for products, integrating software, hardware, and systems engineering disciplines.
- Contribute to solutions for platform management, technical debt, data management, and cybersecurity.
- Apply and promote software engineering best practices across the cross‑functional team.
- Innovate within manufacturing by exploring advancements in automation, artificial intelligence, and new technologies.
- Participate in a cross‑functional Agile team within a larger Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) organization, including sprint and product increment planning.
- Initiate early collaboration with product teams to ensure new designs are optimized for testing, programming, and automation from the outset.
- Communicate project progress, schedules, risks, and challenges.
- Provide tier 2 support for technical problems with test equipment in live production.
- You Will Have:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship).
- Ability to travel 10% of the time.
- You Might Also Have:
- At least 2 years of related experience (internships, co‑ops, and school projects may be considered).
- Experience developing software in C#, C++, or Python.
- Experience developing software for systems that involve both hardware and software.
- Experience with Git Hub Copilot or other AI tools.
- Experience with hardware‑software integration and test.
- Experience working in Agile frameworks such as Scrum and SAFe.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics.
- Experience developing requirements and working in requirements‑driven environments.
- Experience with testing and test coverage strategies.
