Travel RN - ICU

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a 13-week ICU travel contract in Mayfield, KY, requiring 2+ years of critical care experience and active KY or compact RN licensure.

Job Details

• 8-bed ICU on the 2nd floor of an acute care hospital,

• Adult and geriatric patient population with common diagnoses including respiratory failure, sepsis, DKA, GI bleed, AFib RVR, CHF, and chronic renal failure,

• Patient ratio of 2:1,

• Day shift, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, three 12-hour shifts per week,

• Schedule alternates every other weekend:
Friday, Saturday, and Sunday,

• No on-call requirements,

• Floating required to Med Surg and Behavioral Health units,

• EMR:
Meditech Magic,

Job Requirements

• Active KY or compact RN license required,

• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, CPI/HWC/MAB, and NIH Stroke Scale - all must be in hand prior to start; RQI certifications are not accepted,

• AHA EKG/rhythms course certification required,

• Minimum 2 years of critical care experience required,

• Strong critical thinking skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment,

• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration,

• COVID vaccination card required,

Additional Information

• Candidate's permanent address must be 60 or more miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate,

• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible,

• Candidates cannot be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment,

• Orientation is held weekly on Mondays,

• Any solid scrub color is acceptable; crocs, Hey Dudes, logo t-shirts, and cartoon character scrubs are not permitted,
