Position Summary:

Provides quality ultrasound studies to include abdominal, OB, vascular, neonatal, pelvis, breast, and testicular small parts for use by the radiologist in the diagnosis of patient illness. Maintains appropriate files, supplies and equipment.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Graduate of Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program or School of Radiology Required
• Graduate from an accredited DMS program OR ARRT OR DMS Certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire.
• ARRT should have one year of DMS experience (preferred only).
• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Essential Functions:

• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
• Performs sonographic examinations and procedures as requested by the referring physician delivery of care and services
• Maintains appropriate supplies and a clean and orderly work area.
• Notifies supervisor of needed items
• Maintains equipment to ensure accuracy and longevity
• Provides age-appropriate care to all patients
• Acts as a physician/staff consultant and educational resource for appropriateness and accuracy of scans

Required Citizenship / Work Permit / Visa Status US Citizen / Green Card holder

Minimum of 1 year of experience with 3 years preferred Graduate of Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program or School of Radiology Required Graduate from an accredited DMS program OR ARRT OR DMS Certification
