Job Type: Full‑time | Day shift | Monday‑Friday availability | No weekends

Jackson Purchase Medical Center is a 107‑bed hospital located in Mayfield, KY, and part of Lifepoint Health.

The Medical Group/Physician Services team at Jackson Purchase Medical Center values teamwork and effective communication. As an LPN, you will work under the supervision of a Nurse Practitioner or physician, providing direct patient care in accordance with scope of practice and standards.

• Under direction of an RN or physician, assess patients by collecting data for analysis.
• Perform a plan of care, including specimen collection and wound care.
• Administer medication when authorized.
• Document patient care and interventions.
• Assist RN/physician in developing plans of care.
• Help patients perform activities of daily living, including hygiene, nutrition, ambulation.
• Monitor and communicate patient status and response to care.
• Advocate for patient’s physical and emotional well‑being.
• Schedule appointments and procedures as ordered.
• Obtain insurance re‑authorizations as requested.
• Flexibly float to other offices as needed.

• Critical thinking skills.
• Decisive judgment with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work effectively in a stressful environment.

Education:

• Graduate of an LPN program.
• Associate’s degree preferred.

Certifications:

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.

License:

• Current LPN license in Kentucky.
