As a Kentucky Medication Aide, you will be responsible for administering non-injectable prescription medications under the supervision of registered nurses and licensed medical staff. You will play a critical role in ensuring accurate medication delivery while working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment with strong nursing support and guidance.

Safely administer non-injectable medications and provide treatment assistance in accordance with physician orders, facility policies, and state regulations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness at all times.
Monitor residents before, during, and after medication administration, identifying potential side effects or adverse reactions and promptly reporting concerns to nursing staff.
Supervise and support residents who self-administer medications, ensuring compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory guidelines.
Observe, document, and communicate changes in residents’ physical condition, mental status, or behaviors to the interdisciplinary care team to support timely interventions and quality care.
Maintain accurate, thorough, and timely documentation related to medication administration, resident observations, incidents, and other required records.
Collaborate closely with nurses, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to promote continuity of care and a positive, resident-centered environment.
Uphold infection control practices, safety standards, and confidentiality requirements while delivering compassionate, respectful care to residents.
Required skills and qualifications:
Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
High school diploma or GED
One year of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Previous experience working directly with older adults preferred
Flexible schedule, including availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Must enjoy working with the senior population
