Job Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg position at a 107-bed acute care hospital in Mayfield, KY, requiring at least 1 year of experience and active KY or compact RN licensure.
Responsibilities- 13-week contract on a Medical-Surgical unit (3rd & 4th floor) of a Joint Commission-accredited, 107-bed acute care hospital
- Day shift, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- 57-bed unit serving patients of all ages
- Patient population commonly includes COPD, post-operative joint patients, and diabetic patients
- Patient ratio up to 1:6 with PCA assistance
- EMR:
Medi Tech experience preferred - Every other weekend requirement, with additional weekend hours as needed
- On-call required as needed
- Floating to like units possible as needed
- Candidates must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for this travel position
- Travelers cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
- Travelers cannot be employed full-time elsewhere during this assignment
- Orientation is held weekly on Mondays
- Scrubs of any color are acceptable; branded attire from other facilities is not permitted
- COVID vaccination card required
- Active KY RN license or compact RN license required
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and Handling with Care (HWC) — all must be in hand prior to start
- RQI certifications are not accepted
- Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg RN experience required
- Social Security number required for consideration
