Mills Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON). In this key leadership role, you will support the Director of Nursing in overseeing daily clinical operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and maintaining the highest standards of resident care.

You will play an essential role in guiding and supporting nursing staff, assisting with staff development, and fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. • Oversee and support the delivery of nursing care to meet the medical needs of all residents
• Coordinate and monitor infection control practices to ensure compliance and resident safety
• Provide ongoing education, training, and support to nursing staff
• Assist in maintaining regulatory compliance and promote effective communication across all levels of the nursing team
• Help coordinate and direct overall planning and delivery of nursing services
• Maintain a strong working knowledge of nursing practices, policies, and procedures
• Ensure accurate and timely completion of medical records and documentation
• Assist with recruitment efforts, including interviewing, hiring, and onboarding new nursing staff
• Oversee daily staffing processes to ensure appropriate coverage and quality care
• Maintain flexibility in scheduling to meet the needs of the facility and residents

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Kentucky required
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a long‑term care setting required
• Prior management or leadership experience preferred
• Previous staff education or training experience preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required
• Demonstrated leadership ability and experience supervising nursing staff
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
• Flexible schedule required, including availability for on‑call responsibilities
