Mills Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking an LPN or RN for our Wound Care/Treatment Nurse position!

Wound Care/Treatment Nurse responsibilities:
Specializes in the assessment, treatment, and ongoing management of wounds resulting from disease, injury, surgical procedures, or medical treatments
Provides skilled wound care services to promote safe, timely, and effective healing
Assesses wounds to determine type, severity, and stage, including surgical sites, pressure injuries, ulcers, feeding tube sites, abscesses, and other skin integrity issues
Develops, implements, and updates individualized wound treatment plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team
Performs wound cleaning, dressing changes, and treatments according to physician orders and evidence-based practices
Monitors wounds for signs of infection, deterioration, or complications and reports changes promptly to the appropriate provider
Documents wound assessments, treatments, progress, and outcomes accurately and in a timely manner
Educates nursing staff, residents, and families on wound prevention, treatment plans, and proper skin care techniques
Assists with prevention programs to reduce the risk of pressure injuries and skin breakdown
Ensures compliance with facility policies, infection control standards, and state and federal regulations
Participates in care plan meetings and quality improvement initiatives related to wound care
Wound Care Nurse Licenses/Certification
Current valid LPN or RN license
Previous wound care experience
Wound care certification is preferred
At least one year of LPN or RN experience in a long-term care setting is preferred
